We have become more aware of the stress and trauma that our men and women are facing in the military. We are making contacts to reach some of our military and veterans. We want to provide a place to reconnect and bring some joy back into their lives. We are praying for a property with a home like setting in which to find peace that will help the individual and possibly their family live above and beyond the stress and trauma as they re enter civilian life. Our Mission statement; "Nurturing the Soul, Nourishing the Body and Uplifting with Encouragement. . ." is NOT just a nice slogan. This is the goal. We will have information for other services and agencies that can also help people to take care of the different and varying needs to help them reinvent their life. We want to help the valiant people who have fought for our freedom!
Our original vision of helping Pastors, Missionaries, Christian leaders, teachers etc. is no less important and we will also provide a welcoming environment.
Daybreak Ministries was formed and Incorporated in August of 2006. We researched properties and the expenses of buying and operating campgrounds and resorts and bed and breakfasts before we sent in our applications to become a Federally recognized Non-Profit Organization. We are now authorized as tax exempt and may receive transfers, gifts and donations as a 501 (c) (3) public charity.
We are not affiliated with any denomination and therefore are purely reliant upon your donations and fundraisers.
We have taken such courses as "Paving The Way Home" thru the Georgia Naional Guard, Non-Profit Management, Event Planning, Food Service, and Food Safety courses through the University of Maine and Georgia systems and "Stress and Trauma Care with Military Application" through A.A.C.C. We continue to research, take courses and learn both professionally and spiritually.
